QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Lift Operators are the #1 assets of any ski hill operation. These people are some of the first to start work and will do so in any weather condition, day or night. They are a group of extremely social, energetic and physically fit people. They are passionate about their snow sports and getting the job done quickly and professionally. Lift operators can be found through out the ski hill area as they have the responsibility of the safe and efficient operation of all lifts.
The people that excel at being a lift operator have a natural ability to generate good times on and off the clock for themselves their co-workers and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Maintenance of uniform issued
- Attend Mount Washington Alpine Resort sponsored training sessions
- Additional duties as required by the Lift Operations Supervisor / Assistant Chair Boss / Chair Boss / Lead hand
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the safe daily maintenance and operations of one of the mountain chair lifts as assigned by the Lift Supervisor
- Assist the lift mechanics with routine maintenance
- Attend Mount Washington Alpine Resort sponsored orientation sessions
- Assist Ski Patrol in lift evacuations
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mechanical aptitude an asset
- Must enjoy working with the public
- Must be able to maintain a calm, friendly manner under periods of stress
- Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to think quickly and follow all safety procedures
- Good physical condition
- Must be able to ski / snowboard
- Great customer service skills an asset
