Position: Supervisor - Daycare

Reports to: Snow School Manager

Primary Objectives:

The Snow School Manager organizes all aspects of the Mountain Kids Day Care.  In order to effectively manage this area you will be required to help organize all Tot lessons, lunch programs, schedule staff and to ensure all rules and regulations by Vancouver Island Health Authority are being followed.  You will be able to assist with various lesson assignments to instructors at their various lesson times, and be a point of contact for both instructors and parents.



  • Check in children into Daycare, ensure all relevant parent info is taken
  • Organize Daycare staff and ensure they are all aware of the daily routines and tasks
  • Schedule enough staff for daily operations and adjust accordingly to reservations and business volumes
  • Check with Dispatch for lesson volumes and reservations
  • Organize Tot lessons and tot lesson area
  • Ensure all daily cleaning in kitchen, lunch room and day care floor is at a standard that meets Vancouver Island Health Authority requirements
  • Manage payroll for Daycare staff
  • Act as an ambassador for Mount Washington and the industry as a whole
  • Assist in other department operations when required
  • Perform other duties such as clean-up
  • Document all training, staff certifications and other personnel information
  • Adhere to all policies the Learning Centre Supervisor Manual


  • Minimum Responsible Adult Certificate, or ECE
  • Exoerience in a multi age daycare facility
  • Child safe first aid certifcate
  • Immunization records available



The Daycare Lead hand is expected to adhere to the policies of Mount Washington Alpine Resort.  You are expected to do your best at all times, if you have questions, concerns or criticisms please speak with the Assistant Snow School Managers.  Their office is ALWAYS open.  Please feel free to stop by if you have a problem or comment, as your opinions, concerns and suggestions for improvement are welcome.
