JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Daycare Worker

Reports to:  Lead Hand Daycare

Primary Objectives: To provide guidance and promote pro-social behaviour.  It is our goal to provide a safe, healthy and inclusive atmosphere for the children.

 

Scope:

  • Check in children into Daycare, ensure all relevant parent info is taken
  • Ensure healthy snacks/enough water are given to all children throughout the day
  • Keep a clean and sanitary workspace
  • Aid children in using facilities when needed
  • Provide age and developmentally appropriate play and learning experiences
  • Facilitate both indoor and outdoor activities for the children
  • To have fun on our skis and snowboards!

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 19 years or older
  • Provide 2 personal references
  • Resume
  • Must have Childsafe First Aid
  • Must be willing to complete criminal record check
  • Must have a minimum of 20 hours documented training pertaining to health, safety and or child development OR ECE, ECE assistant, or Bachelor of Education (Primary)
  • Have a hard working and fun personality!

 

Responsibilities:

The Daycare staff is expected to adhere to the policies of Mount Washington Alpine Resort.  You are expected to do your best at all times, if you have questions, concerns or criticisms please speak with the Daycare Lead Hand.  The Lead hand is ALWAYS there to help.  Please feel free to stop by if you have a problem or comment, as your opinions, concerns and suggestions for improvement are welcome

 

Front line staff wishing to pursue employment with Mount Washington Alpine Resort should exhibit the following traits and competencies:
