Reports to: Jeff Judd Alpine Rentals Manager, Kris Uytterhagen Retail Manager & Mike Manara Director of Sports and Guest Services.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Demo Centre Service Sales & Repair Technician

 

Demo Centre Service Tech’s are expected to have good customer service skills as well as current product service & repair knowledge to help our guests enjoy their experience at Mount Washington. Staff members must work together as a team. We play a key role in helping new or returning guests have an exceptional experience, ensuring that they come back to us again.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet the guests when they enter the retail or shop area.
  • Operate the Sirius sales system for all sales
  • Pass all Binding certification tests online and in store.
  • Make sure bindings are indemnified and set correctly.
  • Check all returned demos for damage and perform required maintenance. Be prepared to do spot checks on inventory. You will be asked to help when doing scheduled inventory.
  • Ensure that guests accurately complete and sign demo rental forms and shop work orders.
  • Techs must be willing to learn and expand their knowledge on advanced mounting and repair work. This includes the basic safe operation of all machines and calibrators in the Demo Centre, including the Wintersteiger Sigma 1 Tuner and Waxjet 92 waxing/buffing machine. This also includes customer binding calibration.
  • Techs should be prepared to learn advanced boot fitting, understand simple podiatry (foot analogy) and basic orthotic applications. Also be prepared to learn custom liner molding and the building of custom orthotics.
  • Keep the shop tidy, organized and a safe working environment.
  • Stay current on product knowledge. Follow policies and watch for inconsistencies with the pricing, labels, signage and discounts.
  • Be willing to show empathy toward your customer when they are going through difficulties. Be prepared to take a negative experience and turn it into a positive.
  • Help drive retail sales and a high end experience
